I’m back. And in need of suggestions.

I need suggestions.  Words of wisdom on WHAT IN THE WORLD TO DO HERE.  I am so close to getting everything hung in Sophia’s room.  And as soon as we find a bookshelf we love and a toy box…we will be DONE.  Oh and a rug.  Ok so maybe we aren’t that close to being done.  But it seems like decorating her nursery when I was pregnant was much quicker than doing it now.  But such is life.

Her room has a…a nook.  Here, for you to visualize:

You see the little nook with the window.  We have plans for a toy box to go under the window.  And the curtain is in the process of being made.  But I really can’t figure out what to hang on the wall.  I toyed with the idea of a decal of dandelions blowing.  But Cody said that you wouldn’t be able to REALLY see it and thought it would be a waste.  But the walls need something.  So I’m taking suggestions.  Your favorite Etsy shop that has the perfect art.  Idea’s of decals.  Things to hang or decorate that area.  DIY projects.

What about maybe making it a little art area with a chalkboard that you hang on the wall?

Ha ha ha, Cody build it. That’s hilarious. We have a book shelf going at the other end of the room. so I’m a little worried about it being too much. But as a friend of mine pointed out, I can use the other one for bins for toys and shoes and stuff.

maybe one of the bins from Ikea – that has the drawers she can put toys in? They come in cute colors (the bins) that could coordinate with the wall colors in Sophia’s room!

You could hang a magnetic board or use some magnetic paint (I have some leftover) and paint a portion of the wall. Kids love magnets! I like the decal idea too. Sophia will see them everyday.

What about making it an art area? Sophias art. Use chalkboard paint on part of it, get some magnetic strips and magnets, a window seat, comfy floor pillows, etc.

I’ve always loved and wanted to use this idea: http://www.ohdeedoh.com/ohdeedoh/february-jumpstart-2009-entries/how-to-make-a-hanging-book-display-megans-february-jumpstart-project-2009-077231?image_id=3151
I think it would fit perfectly there ;)
Above it I would tear out some pages to some other books and frame them to hang on the wall.
